On Tuesday November 2, 2021 the CDC director endorsed the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ (ACIP) recommendation to authorize the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric COVID-19 Vaccine for patients 5-11 years old. The FDA has also approved this.
This shot will be two doses given three weeks apart.
We are in the process of coordinating vaccine clinics for our patients 5-11 years old and will communicate further information about this when we receive the vaccine.
